Timer Module: Friendly Configuration Guide

Hello! Welcome to the Timer Module configuration. This tool allows your bot to make a short pause before continuing to the next step in a conversation. It's like telling your bot: "Wait a few seconds and then continue." You configure everything in a simple window, without any programming knowledge needed!

What does the Timer Module do?

The Timer Module tells your bot:

  • How many seconds to wait (between 0 and 30) before moving to the next step.
  • Continue with the chat flow after the pause.

You'll configure this in a popup window with a single easy-to-adjust field.

Step-by-Step Configuration in the Popup Window

When you open this tool, you'll see a window titled "Timer Configuration". Here's how to use it:

1. Define the Waiting Time

  • Where: The box "Value between 0 and 30 seconds".
  • What it does: This tells the bot how many seconds to wait before continuing (you can choose between 0 and 30).
  • How to set it up: Use the arrows or type a whole number between 0 and 30. It's mandatory and must be within this range!

Example: Type "5" if you want the bot to wait 5 seconds.

2. Save Your Configuration

  • Where: The "Save" button at the end.
  • What it does: Saves the instruction for the bot to pause for the seconds you indicated.
  • How to set it up: Click "Save". If the number is between 0 and 30, the window will close and a success message will appear. If it's outside the range or empty, it will ask you to correct it.

Tip: Make sure to enter a valid number (0 to 30) before saving.

What Happens When It Runs?

  1. The bot waits for the seconds you defined (for example, 5 seconds).
  2. Afterward, it automatically moves to the next step you have configured in the bot flow.

Practical Example

Imagine your bot sends a message and you want to give it a breather before continuing:

  1. You open the "Timer Configuration" window.
  2. In "Value between 0 and 30 seconds", you type "3" (to wait 3 seconds).
  3. You click "Save".

Result: The bot waits 3 seconds after its last message and then continues with the next module, such as displaying a menu or sending another response.

Simplified Special Tricks

Short Pause

  • What it does: Perfect for giving a natural rhythm to the chat, like a brief pause between messages.
  • How to set it up: Use a small number, like 2 or 5 seconds.

Example: The bot says "Hello" (2-second pause) and then "How can I help you?".

Maximum Flexibility

  • What it does: You can adjust the time between 0 and 30 seconds based on what you need.
  • How to set it up: Change the number within the allowed range.

Example: Use "0" to almost not wait or "30" for a longer pause.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Can't save? Check that the number is between 0 and 30 and not empty.
  • Bot not pausing? Confirm that the module is in the right place in the flow and that the time is greater than 0 if you want to notice the wait.
  • Pause too long or too short? Adjust the number in "Value" and save again.

That's it! You've configured your bot to pause before continuing. Choose the time, save, and watch how the bot gives the chat a breather. If something doesn't work, check the number or ask for help from whoever manages the bot flow. Happy timing!
